When I visited Cambodia (twice), I had to refrain from kissing every people I was introduced to (I was not always successful, but Barangs and their weird manners are easily forgotten, especially when they try their very formal but very funny « tiom rirb sour » and sampeah — hello with joining hands — as well). What you see as a cold attitude is actually a respectful one.
