Body and Soul : A little more conversation
In 1972, Bach Mai, Vietnam's largest hospital, was destroyed in US air raids. A peace group I was involved with at the time went door to door trying to collect money to rebuild the hospital. There are few things I hate more than asking people for money. (...)
We got yelled at a lot. We had a lot of doors slammed in our faces. And I forget how much money we collected but it was hardly worth the effort.
